VPK Provider

What is VPK?

Voluntary Pre-kindergarten (VPK) means that all children that turned 4 years of age, on or before September the 2nd are eligible for FREE quality early learning experiences in a Pre-kindergarten program. The children are eligible for a total of 540 hours per year. This VPK program runs in our facility every year like the Orange County Public School Calendar, which is from August through May. VPK hours are 3 hours per day during this period of time, totally free of charge to the parent. Our program offers full-time hours added to the VPK hours, which helps lower the full-time tuition and also gives your child more exposure to learning and a better chance for success in Kindergarten.

Azalea Park Learning Center also offers the Summer VPK; this program is provided only to the children that missed the VPK during the year. The summer VPK is a full-time program (8 hours per day) offered from the end of May until the end of July, totally free of charge.

Where to apply for VPK?
Here at the center. You will have to fill out the VPK application form that is provided to us by The Early Learning Coalition and we will then submit the application together with copies of you child’s birth certificate and proof of residency by the parent or provider, in the form of driver’s license, utility bill or lease. We will need to see the originals and can make copies for you.

If you need further information about VPK, please call our center at 407-277-9011 or The Early Learning Coalition of Orange County at 407-532-4254 or log on to www.elcoforangecounty.
