Welcome
THE AZALEA PARK LEARNING CENTER'S PHILOSOPHY
We are a progressive and innovative childcare company dedicated to providing a quality educational program in a secure and supportive environment. We are concerned with the "whole child" and encourage a balance of development in the child's physical, social, psychological and intellectual growth. Parents are encouraged to be deeply involved in the developmental process. It is our belief that we must work together with our families to provide stable, nurturing environments for our children. Parents are invited to share feelings, concerns, and suggestions about their children's care, visit our centers, and participate in our programs.

Our staff is our greatest asset. We foster open communication, teamwork and the attention to detail required to provide a superior service. Extraordinary effort is expected from our staff. In turn, we are committed to providing an excellent working environment where staff members reach their potential and where outstanding performance is recognized and rewarded. At Azalea Park Learning Center, providing quality care for children is one of the most important responsibilities of our center. Providing quality care is the foundation upon which our center is based. We are proud of our center, its services and its staff and are ever appreciative of our children, their parents and all who support our efforts.
DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY
We do not believe in any type of punishment. Our discipline practices are according to Dr. Becky Bailey's philosophy, which is called Conscious Discipline practices, the 7 basic skills for Brain Smart Classroom Management, which is based on teaching through love and the understanding of human behavior and brain development.
The goal is teaching children self-control by conflict solving techniques through communication skills. We do not use "time out", instead we have established a "Safe Place" in each classroom that children learn to use when they are in distress. The teacher's approach is not of punishment but of self-control and keeping the classroom safe. Also developing a "School Family" that gives the children a sense of unity, acceptance and safety.
